DM1 is an add-on module for the CM5-LT controller that displays all the relevant unit parameters in real-time.

Displayed controller parameters include:

Installation

Installation consists of simply plugging the 6-Pin connector already included on the CM5-LT Input/Output wire adapter into side of the DM1 Module. 

 

Button Overview

 

Turn-On Sequence

When the CM5-LT sees ignition, the DM1 will power up and start searching for the controller.

If the controller is found the unit will show "Connected"

If the controller is not found (most likely due to a wiring issue) an error message will be displayed until communication with the display is re-established

Display Layouts Overview

On Power-up the unit will default to the factory-programmed display layout unless the used has saved a different display layout as their default.

Note: To scroll through the display layouts use the UP and DOWN arrow keys and press and hold the SAVE/ENTER button on the screen layout you want to configure as your default.

Display Layout 1: All Outputs - Summary View

This layout shows the state of all 4 unit outputs. MAIN and AUX duty values are displayed as bargraphs followed by a percentage. GPO1 and GPO2 duty values are shown as percentages. Boost and RPM are displayed in the bottom row.

Display Layout 2: Water Methanol Injection Duty and Flow

This layout shows the state of the 2 pump outputs and the flow measurements received as 0-5V voltage signals at AN_A and AN_B inputs. MAIN and AUX duty values are displayed as bargraphs followed by a percentage. Flow is shown in accordance with the flow sensor configured in the menu (below).

Display Layout 3: Pump Duty and Current

This layout shows the state of the 2 pump outputs. MAIN and AUX duty values are displayed as bargraphs followed by a percentage. Pump current in Amps is displayed below each output.

 

Display Layout 4: All Outputs - Bargraph View

This layout shows the state of the 2 pump outputs. MAIN and AUX duty values are displayed as bargraphs followed by a percentage. Pump current in Amps is displayed below each output.

Display Layout 5: Single Pump on MAIN, GPO1 Solenoid, GPO2 Boost Cut A

This layout shows the parameters usually of interest in set-ups with a single pump on the MAIN output, a single anti-siphon solenoid, Fast Acting Valve (FAV) or high-impedance fuel inector on GPO1 and an optional wastegate interrupting relay or electronic boost controller Boost Cut trigger on GPO2. Boost and RPM are displayed in the bottom row.

Display Layout 6: All Inputs

This layout shows all 4 unit inputs. Analog inputs AN_A and AN_B are displayed as bargraphs followed by a percentage. 0V signal is displayed as 0% while 5V is displayed as 100%. State of the General Purpose Inputs GPI1 and GPI2 is also displayed. ON means the input is actively pulled to GND, OFF means the input is floating (i.e. not active). Boost and RPM are displayed in the bottom row.

Display Layout 7: Single Pump on AUX, Flow on AN_B and Fluid Level on GPI2, Solenoid or Relay on GPO2

This layout shows the parameters usually of interest in set-ups with a secondary pump on the AUX output, a Flow Sensor on AN_B, a single pull-to-GND-when-empty float switch on GPI2 and an optional anti-siphon solenoid, wastegate interrupting relay or electronic boost controller Boost Cut trigger on GPO2. Boost and RPM are displayed in the bottom row.

Display Layout 8: Single Pump on MAIN, Flow on AN_A and Fluid Level on GPI1, Solenoid or Relay on GPO1

This layout shows the parameters usually of interest in set-ups with a primary pump on the MAIN output, a Flow Sensor on AN_A, a single pull-to-GND-when-empty float switch on GPI1 and an optional anti-siphon solenoid, wastegate interrupting relay or electronic boost controller Boost Cut trigger on GPO1. Boost and RPM are displayed in the bottom row.

Main Menu 

Pressing the MENU/BACK button on the unit displays the Main Menu: 

 

Menu items can be selected by scrolling UP and DOWN buttons followed by the ENTER/SAVE button to make the selection.

Pressure Units

On this screen the user can select the preferred boost pressure units. Once the selection is made the ENTER/SAVE button must be pressed for the selection to be saved. The MENU/BACK button will then return to the previous screen.

Flow Sensor Configuration

On this screen the user can select the attached flow sensor.  Once the selection is made the ENTER/SAVE button must be pressed for the selection to be saved. The MENU/BACK button will return to the previous screen.

Controller Info

On this screen the user can view various system info. The MENU/BACK button will return to the previous screen.

Menu items can be selected by scrolling UP and DOWN buttons followed by the ENTER/SAVE button to make the selection.

Firmware Versions

This screen shows the current firmware versions of the controller and of the display module. The MENU/BACK button will return to the previous screen.

Output States

This screen shows the controller's current output states for each of the 4 outputs as configured in TorqTune. The MENU/BACK button will return to the previous screen.

Battery Voltage

This screen shows the current battery voltage as measured by the controller. The MENU/BACK button will return to the previous screen.

Splash Screen Customization

This option is available to any users wishing to have their own text displayed on unit power-up. There is an extra charge for this service. Please Contact Us if you require any splash screen customization.
